SPURS' hero ball boy has admitted his contribution to their crucial equaliser has made him for life — more so than the maths exam he has been studying for.
Quick-witted Callum Hynes, 15, was hailed by Jose Mourinho for having a sharp understanding of the game.
He quickly tossed a ball to Serge Aurier, who then catapulted a long throw-in to Lucas Moura.
Moura then squared the ball into the box for Harry Kane, who bagged a crucial equaliser and provided the platform for Spurs to go on and beat Olympiakos 4-2.
Ecstatic new boss Mourinho raced over and high-fived the baseball-capped teenager.
After the game the Portuguese asked where the lad was, but he was already on the way home to Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, to get ready for a maths exam on Wednesday.
Hynes told Tottenham Hotspur's website: "Jose didn’t have to do that. It was really nice of him to come over to me. It’s made my day, my life, really!
"I love Spurs and it was an amazing moment I’ll never forget."
For most 15-year-old kids, the thought of playing with their footballing heroes in a big Champions League tie is the stuff of fairytale.
But being a ballboy with such a huge contribution is surely a close second — even if he missed the goal itself, because he was retrieving the ball.
Callum added: "It’s all a bit surreal. I was just doing my job and I still can’t quite believe what happened.
"I didn’t even see the goal!
"I was busy getting the ball that had come off (after Masouras tackled Serge) and then I heard the cheer.
To do that you have to be a very good ballboy. I was, between 10 and 15, 16-years-old, a very good ballboy. He is a very good ballboy, understands the game, reads the game.
"I turned around and Harry was celebrating.
"I looked at the replay on the screen and watched exactly what happened. You can see from my smile it was just unbelievable."
Proud mum Keeley and dad Matthew are both Spurs fans and were watching from the stands while Callum has been a ballboy for six seasons, at the old White Hart Lane, Wembley and now the shiny new Tottenham Stadium.
She said: "We were in the stadium and saw Jose go over to Callum.
"We just thought it was going to be a high-five and didn’t expect any more than that but then both of our phones started pinging!
"The smile on Callum’s face! It was such a lovely thing that Jose did to say thanks like that."
