Tottenham star Michel Vorm dropped for key PSV clash after admitting he is BORED sitting on bench

The 35-year-old has played as understudy to Hugo Lloris since joining from Swansea in 2014, but has been limited to just 46 games.

Paulo Gazzinaga started for the North London club against their Dutch opponents at Wembley, where it was expected that Vorm would start.

Soeaking to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Vorm said: "I think I have a few good years for myself.

"My contract expires after this season, then we’ll see how it goes. I feel very good. Now I have to make sure that I stay fit. It’s always boring to sit on the bench or in the stands."

Pochettino is a big fan of Gazzaniga, recently saying: "We were right when we signed him one-and-a-half years ago, because we believed and we knew him from Southampton.

"He's still young for a keeper and has the potential to be top."

Vorm has featured four times this season under Pochettino – conceding seven goals in all competitions.

He was slated by Spurs supporters for his performance against Liverpool, in September, where he was branded as a "Sunday league" goalkeeper.

The former Utrecht star was at fault for both of the Reds' goals as Jurgen Klopp's side edged out a 2-1 win.
