Tottenham star Harry Kane's 2018-19 struggles could be down to birth of second child, claims Arsenal legend Ian Wright

Writing in his column for SunSport, with the full piece available later tonight, Wrighty claims the stresses of becoming a father for the second time – and the inevitable sleepless nights that follow – could be affecting the doting family man.

Kane, 25, look looked tired even during the World Cup this summer and has scored just twice in six games in all competitions this season.

On the England skipper, Wrighty said: "There are also worries about Harry Kane’s fitness – but we need to cut him some slack.

"When you watch him, he does not look as sharp as we have seen him before.

"But people don’t take into consideration the fact he has just had a new baby.

"How many other players coming back from the World Cup have recently had a new addition to the family?

"We don’t know what his sleeping patterns are like at the moment so maybe that might have something to do with his form.

"But just like his Tottenham team, Kane can prove everything is all right by putting on a show at the San Siro."

Spurs face Inter Milan in the first of their Champions League group stage games tomorrow night.
