Tottenham hope to unveil part of new stadium to public this weekend as building work continues

New photos reveal progress made on the delayed, 62,000-seat, White Hart Lane venue.

And London's Evening Standard say Spurs will confirm on Friday if the stadium's megastore can open on Saturday.

Our pictures show intensive construction work still going on with the hope of staging a match early next year.

But for now the target is to welcome fans to what Tottenham believe will be the biggest shop within a football ground in Europe.

Nonetheless, a 100-seat auditorium inside the megastore – which will be used for pre-match entertainment – will still not be ready.

The shop is within "The Tottenham Experience" – built inside Grade II listed building Warmington House on the corner of High Road and Park Lane.

This premises will also house a visitors' centre, museum and archive.

Executive suites at the stadium near Spurs' old ground are also nearly finished, while the pitch turf has been laid.

But the football and NFL changing rooms, plus many of the bars, are lagging behind.

For nostalgic supporters, Spurs have already unveiled a giant copy of their iconic 'Golden Cockerel.

It even includes replicas of the dents apparently caused to the original by Tottenham legend Paul Gascoigne messing around firing an airgun 30 years ago.
