The Fridge is baseball’s 300-pound speed demon

“The Freeze,” the masked sprinter who was introduced by the Braves in 2017 to race fans in between innings, has some competition for the most entertaining warning track runner.

His name is “The Fridge,” and he’s the newest unconventional ballpark attraction for the Braves’ Triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers.

The Freeze has earned his legacy from giving fans substantial head starts before blowing past them at the very last second before the finish line. The Fridge, who Sports Illustrated reports is named Nabih “Nino” Dandan and weighs 300 pounds, needs the head start for himself to gain some speed.

Then once the fan believes the Fridge has been left in the dust, he defies the laws of physics with an insane display of speed.

Maybe the Braves should arrange for an epic showdown of baseball’s fiercest warning track racers.
