Jets-Dolphins could get ugly, in a way that has nothing to do with their combined 7-9 record.
The Hard Rock Stadium field was a mess Saturday during a Duke-Miami matchup, and after heavy rains in Miami, the field for the 1 p.m. kickoff is a major concern, according to an ESPN report.
“The field is horrendous,” one league source at the stadium on Saturday told ESPN. “It’s a complete s–tshow.”
According to the report, the main concerns with the stadium are the field does not drain and the grass is not quality enough.
Last year the Jets and Dolphins encountered a similar issue on the same field after a Miami-Syracuse game the day before. Todd Bowles called the field “a little boggy” as players slipped up and down the field.
