ARDERA CROSS has won both his races here — including this 12 months ago — and relishes this trip. He won’t mind some cut in the ground and should go close.
Wells De Lune is out of form but usually runs well here and could bounce back. Yccs Portocervo is improving over fences and won’t be far away.
2.30 SANDOWN
MURAAD was impressive when winning at Goodwood last time and value for further than the half-length winning margin. A 5lb rise in the weights looks fair.
Victory Chime has won three of his past four including over course and distance. He’s only 2lb than his last win and is a contender. Keep an eye on the betting for clues about High End after three years off.

QUADRILATERAL hasn’t matched last season’s heroics but drops in grade which could do the trick. Her Guineas third is decent form and she wasn’t disgraced at Royal Ascot.
Billesdon Brook was beaten a neck in a Group 1 last time and is a big danger while Lavender’s Blue won this 12 months ago and wasn’t disgraced in the Nassau.
3.20 NAAS
KASTASA was impressive when taking a Gowran Listed race and can strike again for Dermot Weld. She stays well and is on the upgrade.
Passion has been knocking on the door in good company and is interesting upped in trip. Similar comments apply to fellow O’Brien runner Ennistymon who was second in the Ribblesdale.
3.40 SANDOWN
DUBAI FOUNTAIN has done little wrong since winning a couple of maidens last month. She has gone close in a Listed contest here and matched that when second in a Group 3 at Newmarket. She can put her experience to good use under William Buick.
King Vega was a solid second on debut here latest and gives the impression there’s a lot more to come. Etonian won easily here first up and looks a nice prospect too for Richard Hannon.
