SunSport sub-editor Graham Warwick sadly passes away aged 55 after battling major illness since Christmas

SUNSPORT sub-editor Graham Warwick has sadly passed away, aged 55, after battling a major illness since Christmas.

Following a successful career with newspapers in Hertfordshire and Essex, Graham worked on our Dublin and London sports desks from the mid-2000s.

Graham, an Arsenal fan, had a sharp wit and a “balanced” view on North London football.

The Sun's Editor-in-chief Victoria Newton said: “Graham’s great love of both newspapers and sport, especially Arsenal, made him a hugely valued and successful member of The Sun team.

"His friends and colleagues here will miss him enormously.”

TheSun's Head of Sport Shaun Custis said: "Graham loved his job and was a greatly valued member of our sports desk.

"He wasn't short of an opinion but that is what helps makes our sports desk tick.

"He will be sadly missed by all of us."
