England will take on Spain in their first ever World Cup final on Sunday and the country will be watching.
Sarina Wiegman’s side are looking to become just the third women’s team to hold both the European Championships and World Cup at the same time and take their undisputed seat at the top of the world game.
It won’t be an easy game. Spain are an exciting side with ambitions of their own and they’ll be out to upset to Lionesses in their own first ever final.
But Wiegman will get her team up for the game as they step onto the turf in Sydney in front of the eyes of the nation.
Former England captain Steph Houghton introduces readers to her England team-mates ahead of the game.

Mary Earps
Great shot-stopper, really good distribution. Has been dominant over the last two tournaments. Mary is really bubbly and quite chilled away from the pitch.
Lucy Bronze
Absolute winner. Warrior. Leads with her performances. Off the pitch I think she would agree that she is a bit different. She is just a bit weird. If everyone is chilling she will be the one who is really hyper.
Alex Greenwood
Technician, unbelievable left foot. Good in one-v-one situations. Loves her coffee and loves to stay fit. She is an unbelievable person. No matter where we go, if there is an away game or if we are in Manchester she will always be asking to go for a coffee.
Millie Bright
Dominant, brave, she wears her heart on her sleeve and puts her body on the line. Away from the pitch she is absolutely crackers! Really loyal and really bubbly. If her and Rachel Daly are together nobody else gets a word in. She is always bringing the energy and is not afraid to say how she feels, which every team needs.

Bright and Houghton have played in defence together several times for the Lionesses
Lucy Bronze, meanwhile, brings a winning mentality to the squad both on and off the pitch
Jess Carter
Jess has improved season on season. She is so versatile and deceptively quick. She never gets beaten and when she plays full back she can get forward and cause problems. Off the pitch she has the most amazing laugh ever. I can’t even explain how it sounds. Rachel Daly
The top goalscorer in WSL is not doing bad at left back! Versatile, athletic, gives everything. Off the pitch she is so funny, really sharp and witty. She is a lovable character. If you ever need anyone to cheer you up, you would go to Rachel. A proper Yorkie, with the accent. She is a massive Leeds fan.
Keira Walsh
She is the best midfielder in the world, in my opinion. As a No 6, her distribution, everything on the ball is superb but her reading of the game and her organising are really important. She sees things others do not. Once you get to know her, she is so funny.
‘Bulldozer’ Georgia Stanway will be a mainstay in the England midfield for many years to come
Keira Walsh is regarded as the world’s best midfielder and has impressed in the tournament
Georgia Stanway
Bulldozer! Loves a tackle. She is the mainstay of this England team for the next few years. Her and Keira Walsh are thick as thieves. They feed off each other and joke around. She is a proper Barrow girl.
Ella Toone
She is so creative. Technically, sometimes you do not see how good she is. She will eventually be one of the best No 10s, in my opinion. She can pass and shoot. She is thriving in the big games. Tooney is a real Manc.
Ella Toone has continued to thrive in the big games, scoring against Australia in the semi-final
Toone and Alessio Russo – who has led the line well for England – are good friends off the pitch
Alessia Russo
I rate her so highly. She brings movement, pace and goals. She is really effective in the final third. So grounded. She is always wanting to learn and put the team first. She is going to keep growing.
Lauren Hemp
Speedster. Hempo. The last few games she has been one of the best in the tournament. She can do a bit of everything and she can run quicker with ball at her feet than I can without the ball! She can be quiet but when you get her one-on-one she is so inquisitive. She loves to learn about other people and their lives.
Lauren Hemp scored to put England 2-1 up against Australia and has shone at the tournament
Lauren James, who will return from suspension, has shown her abilities playing for England
Lauren James
LJ is going to be a superstar. We have seen that in the games she has played. She makes football look easy, whether playing wide or as a No 10. She grabs the game by the scruff of the neck. She can be quiet, which is mad when you see what she is like on the pitch. A lot of the youngsters are very grounded and she is definitely that.
Chloe Kelly
I love Chloe — I think she is my favourite player. She loves football and will do anything to win. She brings the swagger! She just wants to improve and be the best and we see it every day in training. She is so caring and has been an amazing friend to me for ages. QPR fan.
