Solskjaer’s name appears on sign in Manchester as cheeky locals give Man Utd boss their backing

The 46-year-old has starred since replacing Jose Mourinho at the Theatre of Dreams in December – winning nine out of his 11 Premier League games in charge.

The only defeat the Norwegian has tasted has come in the Champions League when PSG beat the Red Devils 2-0 in the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Solskjaer – who has broken six records since being appointed by United – is only on a deal until the end of the season.

But SunSport understands that the ex-Cardiff gaffer will be officially confirmed as the club's full-time manager in the summer with the board choosing him over Mauricio Pochettino.

And United supporters believe that Solskjaer is the only viable choice having won 12 out of his 15 games in all competitions.

While one fan took it one step further with support for the six-time Premier League winner coming in the shape of a road sign in Manchester.

An electronic road sign told commuters there may be delays from 1.30pm tomorrow due to the fact that United are facing the Saints at "Ole Trafford".

The person in charge of displaying the messages is clearly a fan of the FA Cup quarter-finalists, and is desperate for Solskjaer to get the gig permanently.

United are currently a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, but could jump ahead of the Gunners should they slip up against North London rivals Tottenham at Wembley.
