Sky Sports cut short hilarious post-match interview with prickly Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa after Sheffield United loss

MARCELO BIELSA had his post-match interview cut short as his awkward responses made for uncomfortable viewing after Leeds' defeat to Sheffield United.

The Argentine has developed a maverick reputation during his time at Elland Road and this cringeworthy interview will have only enhanced it.

Chris Basham scored the only goal of the game as Bielsa's side failed to register a single shot on target during the vital promotion clash at Elland Road.

The Blades leap-frogged their local rivals with the 1-0 win and sit second in the table having booted Leeds out of the automatic promotion spots.

After the game Sky Sports reporter Jonathan Oates asked Bielsa some seemingly normal questions but the Leeds boss was in no mood to chat.

Oates was put on the back foot by the Argentine forcing him to cut the interview short.

The exchange went as follows…

Oates: Marcelo, how do you reflect on defeat in such a big game today?
Bielsa: It was a very important game. I don't want to underestimate what the opponent got but if we analyse the result it is what it is. And if we analyse the production and who deserves what the analysis is clearly different.

Oates: Pontus Jansson was clearly struggling towards the end, how bad is that knee injury?
Bielsa: I don't know yet.

Oates: How you got any complaints about the sending off of your goalkeeper?
Bielsa: I never make an opinion of the referee, I will check the analysis myself.

Oates: If you deserved to win today, why weren't you able to make that breakthrough?
Bielsa: Do you think that we deserved to win?

Oates: I am asking you the question
Bielsa: I am asking you too.

Oates: I am entirely impartial. You said that you deserved to wins so why weren't you able to find a goal.
Bielsa: I didn't say we deserved to win, I would like to know what you think to my response.

Oates: We'll move it onto the promotion race. Where do you think this leaves the promotion race with you third in the table?
Bielsa: Are you not answering my question?

Oates: We'll leave it there – thank you Marcelo.
