Sergio Ramos mega-fan has Real Madrid star’s face shaved into his head… and nearly everyone thinks it’s awful

Many supporters rated the depiction as a top crop flop, with one handing it the ultimate insult by saying it was more similar to Barcelona genius Lionel Messi.

Another tweet made the unkind parting shot: "When your idol is @SergioRamos but you get a hairdresser in practice ?."

Similar verdicts included: "I'm going to die of laughter.." "This is Ramos not Courtois".. and, "It does not look bad, a little horrible that's all."

Ironicaly, it is Ramos' own body art that normally attracts attention, with his wide range of tattoos.

Now, though, in the week Ramos picked up a Champions League yellow card, it is the Real fan's shaven head that some might think deserves a straight red.

Arriving just in time for Halloween, the frightening, triangular shape includes sinister eyes, an over-sized and somewhat dubious looking nose, and a thick moustache encircling the mouth.

Nonetheless, the cutting debate on Twitter has fringe benefits for Ramos and Co as it diverts attention from their on-field problems.

Real's five-game winless run ended with Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat of Champions League minnows Viktoria Plzen.

But boss Julen Lopetegui is still under huge pressure.

Arsene Wenger and Antonio Conte have both been linked with the Bernabeu hotseat.

And ex-Spain chief Lopetegui might well be ousted if he loses the El Clasico at La Liga leaders Barcelona on Sunday afternoon.

But long-serving Ramos, 32, has denied he has enough sway with Real chiefs could influence the 52-year-old's future.

He said: “Lopetegui is a very motivating person, he convinces, and we have to believe, he is the first to believe, we need unity.

“If I am asked for an opinion, I give it, but I do not think that an opinion of mine could influence such an important decision as the coach's continuity.”
