Paul Pogba MISSED Manchester United team's flight home after Champions League win over Juventus

The French midfielder and his team-mates produced a stunning comeback in Turin with Juan Mata’s free-kick and a last-ditch Alex Sandro own goal securing a famous win.

But as the United squad landed at Manchester Airport in the early hours there was one noticeable absence.

And that was when it emerged 25-year-old Pogba was unable to celebrate the triumph on-board the club plane back after his was pulled in for a post-match drugs test.

Instead he had to wait until an hour later for touch down after the United flight took off without him while he provide a sample for Uefa officials at the Juventus Stadium following the Champions League showdown.

Luckily an official United executive and fan flight was on hand to transport Pogba to the North West.

Governing body Uefa select players from both teams to provide random urine samples for anti-doping controls after each game.

Despite being without their club-record signing, at least Jose Mourinho and the rest of his squad arrived home in good spirits.
