Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vows to bring back Fergie Time at Manchester United

And in a warning shot to Paul Pogba and the rest of United's stars the former striker has demanded EVERYTHING stays in house for the rest of the season.

Norwegian ace Solskjaer spent 11 seasons in the United dressing room under Sir Alex Ferguson and another two years as the club’s reserve team boss.

The 45-year-old has been parachuted in as “interim” manager following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

And Solskjaer spelled out his demands in a no holds barred initial meeting with the players who have so badly under-performed this season.

According to one dressing room source, Solskjaer used his opening address to the players to make clear that he was re-instituting the Fergie code of conduct.

Solskjaer is understood to have promised a “clean slate” for all of the players he has inherited, irrespective of their relationship with Mourinho.

But the Norwegian vowed there would have to be a return to the standards of the United he played for under the Scot.

The source told SunSport: “Ole wanted to make it clear where he stood.

“His message was a simple one.

POGBA SENSATIONALLY GLOATS

PAUL POGBA shouted: "He f***ed with the wrong baller" as he gloated about Jose Mourinho's sacking at Manchester United.

SunSport can reveal fully the extent of the breakdown in the pair's sour relationship before Mourinho was axed on Tuesday morning.

In October, midfielder Pogba reacted angrily to Mourinho's advice to emulate Frank Lampard.

He hit back, asking Mourinho if Lampard had won the World Cup – like he did with France last summer.

“He demanded respect, for himself, Mike Phelan and the rest of the coaches and told the players that their futures at the club depended on how they acted now.

“Ole knows he has the full support of the people that matter, starting with Ed Woodward, and told the players he will be backed in every decision.

“The key thing Ole wanted them to know was that there can be none of the nonsense that has gone on.

“He said ‘I was brought up at Manchester United under a manager where the sanctity of the dressing room was not just respected but vital. That is going to return.’

“For Ole that is simple and he told them that if they have a problem, any issues, it comes to him first.

“They do NOT go to their agents, they do not go to the media, and they do not go on social media.”

Solskjaer’s message appears aimed at Pogba in particular although other players have hinted at or aired gripes with Mourinho in recent months.

While Pogba deleted the “Caption this” Instagram message he posted within minutes of Mourinho’s sacking, SunSport has revealed his delight at the Portuguese’ departure.

Solksjaer has to heal those internal divisions to get United’s season back on track and try to fight his way into the Champions League mix, with the Old Trafford outfit 11 points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
