Mohamed Salah and Luka Modric nominated for Fifa's prestigious men's player award

The Fifa football awards finalists were revealed at a special media event held in London on Monday, with the likes of Peter Schmeichel and Sol Campbell in attendance.

The aforementioned trio were all worthy candidates for the prestigious men's award.

Elsewhere, France manager Didier Deschamps and ex-Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane have been nominated for the best men's coach accolade.

Croatia's latko Dalic has also made the shortlist.

Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel is up against Tottenham's Hugo Lloris and Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois for the best goalkeeper award.
