Mike Ashley watches Newcastle for first time in more than year with fans singing 'get out of our club' during Crystal Palace clash

The under-fire Toon owner, 54, hasn't taken in a match since May 2017 during a 3-0 Championship win over Barnsley.

Ashley was spotted alongside Keith Bishop and Lee Charnley at the 0-0 draw in South London this afternoon.

And on learning of his attendance, travelling supporters quickly broke out into song, chanting: "You fat cockney b******, get out of our club!"

Newcastle drew the game 0-0 as they were utterly outplayed by the Eagles at Selhurst Park – and remain in the bottom three on just two points after six games.

In fact, the Magpies were lucky not to lose after Mamadou Sakho missed a sitter in the dying moments.

One Newcastle fan made their displeasure known by throwing a bottle at Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a disgusting moment.

But in general supporters aimed their anger at Ashley – following a spate of protests against him already this season.

Here's what Twitter had to say on Ashley's long-overdue appearance… with hundreds more not suitable for publication.
