The German was substituted at half time by Unai Emery during their 1-1 draw at Brighton on Boxing Day, but he is back on the bench.
Unai Emery has gone with a midfield four of Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi and Aaron Ramsey.
The back four includes Hector Bellerin, Sokratis, Laurent Koscielny and Sead Kolasinac.
The forward two are Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal will be looking to avenge their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea earlier in the season, where they missed a host of chances.
