Mark Sanchez is getting another shot at the NFL

Mark Sanchez is getting a second chance — or maybe sixth — at the NFL.

Sanchez, who helped guide the Jets back-to-back AFC championship games, is reportedly among a group of quarterbacks being brought in by the Redskins, who lost starter Alex Smith for the season to a gruesome leg injury Sunday.

Sanchez, EJ Manuel and T.J. Yates are expected to work out with the NFC East-leading Redskins for their backup job, according to ESPN. Colt McCoy, who came on for Smith on Sunday, is expected to be the starter.

Sanchez, 32, is a free agent after serving as the backup to Mitchell Trubisky in Chicago last season. The former USC star was suspended four games in April for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Since being cut by the Jets in 2014, Sanchez has played for the Eagles, Cowboys and Bears, as well as being cut in training camp in 2016 by the Broncos. Landing in Washington would reunite him with offensive coordinator Matt Cavanaugh, who was Sanchez’s quarterback coach with the Jets from 2009-12.
