Manchester United BFFs Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard suited and booted for Pride of Britain Awards

Manchester United BFFs Lingard and Rashford paraded in their smartest black suits  on the red carpet at Grosvenor Hotel in London as celebrities gathered to recognise the achievements of 'normal' Brits.

And midfielder Lingard posted Instagram photos with the message: "I'm well proud to support the best team in the world ?and these boys as they are my inspiration in life to strive to reach my goals."

The United duo posed for photos with fans and took their time signing autographs for kids.

Arsenal striker Welbeck and Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold were just as busy at the annual event.

They honoured fundraising phenomenon Edward Mills, eight, who was given the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser award.

All of which might be a welcome brush with truer values in life for the Premier League millionaires in attendance.

And especially, perhaps, for Lingard and Rashford, whose club and manager face and create so much drama and speculation over less important issues every day.
