MANCHESTER UNITED wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho called Cristiano Ronaldo the goat after playing alongside him against Sheriff.

Ronaldo scored and Garnacho picked up the player of the match award on a perfect night for the pair.


United won 3-0 to secure qualification to the next round of the Europa League.

To celebrate Garnacho took to Instagram where he shared a photo of himself and Ronaldo.

The post racked up more than 760,000 likes in just 11 hours and drew attention from other United stars.

Garnacho captioned the photo: "I don't know if it's real or if I'm dreaming."

United team-mate Lisandro Martinez commented: "Keep working brother! Congratulations."

Other Red Devils including Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia also showed support for the youngster, who showed signs he can become a future star against Sheriff.

Garnacho is a huge admirer of CR7 and emulated his 'SIUUU!' celebration after scoring against Nottingham Forest for United Under-23s last season.

Big things are expected of the youngster who was called the 'jewel' of Atletico Madrid's academy.

United plan to hold contract talks with Garnacho to tie down his long-term future.

Garnacho is under contract at United until 2025 but the club want to extend his stay after he impressed Erik ten Hag in pre-season.

The Dutchman said of the 18-year-old after his performance against Rayo Vallecano: "He played pretty well – he is just a teenager but his performance was really good."
