    Raphael Varane is set to officially join Manchester United from Real Madrid.

    According to Manchester Evening News, if everything goes well then Varane could make his debut in the friendly match against Everton.

    The Red Devils will meet the Toffees on August 7 at Old Trafford.

    Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is hoping he can return from his hip injury soon.

    Henderson was even in contention to feature in Saturday's cancelled friendly match at Preston.

    The 24-year-old said before the game was called off: "Yeah [I’m] just building it up day by day and, hopefully, I’ll be right for the game, maybe at the weekend against Preston.

    "We’ll just see how it goes over the next few days. I’ll keep working hard and, hopefully, I can get some minutes under my belt”

    Raphael Varane has confirmed he is leaving ahead of his imminent move to Manchester United with the following farewell message to Real Madrid fans.

    Varane posted on his Instagram: "These last few days have been charged with many emotions, feelings that I now want to share with all of you.

    "After 10 incredible and wonderful years at Real Madrid, a club that I will always carry in my heart, the day has come to say goodbye.

    "Since I arrived in 2011, together we have exceeded all expectations and achieved things that I could never have dreamed of. I would like to thank all the coaches and all the people who work or have worked at the club for everything they have done for me.

    "Many thanks also to all the Madridistas who always gave me a lot of affection and with their great demand they pushed me to give my best and fight for every success.

    Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson revealed he played on towards the end of last season with the hip injury that forced his withdrawal from England.

    Henderson told United's official website: “Obviously I was devastated at the time, when I had to pull out of the squad.

    "But I had an injury ongoing from the Burnley game last season [in April] and I was really struggling.

    “I had a really bad left hip and I needed it to be addressed and I took a scan when I was away with England. I tried to keep it quiet because obviously I wanted to be involved and not miss any games towards the end of last season, I just wanted to keep the momentum going.

    “For me, it was something I needed to get sorted so having a break and getting my head right and then coming back in early and getting everything sorted so I’m ready for the season is something I’m looking forward to"

    Atletico Madrid won't be doing Manchester United any favours regarding Kieran Trippier's asking price.

    That is according to Sport, who claim Atletico are not keen on letting Trippier go.

    However, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino remained coy when quizzed about Pogba.

    Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford faces shoulder surgery next week after persuading boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer an operation would be the best solution.

    Rashford, 23, decided after the Euros he wanted an op as his shoulder problem has persisted since November.

    It's thought boss Solskjaer was keen to see if rest would resolve the problem.

    A United statement said: “Following consultation between Marcus, the manager, club medical staff and specialists, Marcus will undergo surgery imminently to resolve his shoulder injury.

    “He will now focus on his rehabilitation in order to return as soon as  possible.”

    Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus will renew their European Super League plans after a court threw out disciplinary action against the 12 founding clubs.

    A Madrid court decided Uefa must scrap proceedings – until the European Court of Justice makes a ruling.

    Nine clubs were penalised – Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and AC Milan.

    Uefa fined them each about £7m and five per cent of their prize money.

    The Super League plans collapsed within days after a huge outcry from fans, other clubs, politicians and football bodies.

    Now, though, the nine clubs have had their penalties removed – at least for now.

    And action against the ESL's remaining supporters – Barca, Juve and Madrid – must also be halted.

    Manchester United academy midfielder Charlie McCann has officially completed a permanent transfer to Rangers.

    The 19-year-old has never made his senior debut for the Red Devils but was a regular in their under-23 side before sealing a switch to Scotland.

    The Manchester Evening News claim the deal is reportedly worth around £750,000 and will see the player link up with Rangers' B team first.

    Speaking to Rangers' official website, McCann admitted he made the decision to leave Old Trafford in search of first-team football.

    He said: "I’m delighted to get the move over the line, I was obviously really excited when I heard the news and I knew that it was a no brainer.
