Man Utd told to fork out £122m transfer fee for Jadon Sancho by Borussia Dortmund after stunning start to season – The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED will reportedly have to pay £122million to buy Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho in the summer.

Reports in Germany claim the former Manchester City youth star wants to leave the German club at the end of the season.

That has unsurprisingly alerted a host of Europe's top sides, with United and Prem rivals Chelsea believed to be front-runners.

But according to German newspaper Bild, the 19-year-old winger won't come cheap – his current valuation set at £122m.

And if he continues his fine form until the end of the season, that could become even bigger.

Sancho, who was fined £86,000 and dropped by Dortmund after turning up late to training in October, has scored 16 goals in all competitions for Dortmund this season.

He also has an incredible record of scoring or assisting 29 times in the last 22 Bundesliga games.

As well as United and Chelsea, The Telegraph reports that Liverpool are also looking at Sancho, who has spent three seasons in Germany since leaving the City academy.

But they are thought to be more interested in RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

Recent reports have claimed they are ahead of Chelsea in efforts to land the £51m-rated German international in the summer.

With United in pole position, it is claimed only a "dramatic" move from one of their rivals would stop Sancho moving to Old Trafford.

He could agree a deal worth around £200,000 with the Red Devils.
