MANCHESTER UNITED have secured the signing of wonderkid Gabriele Biancheri.
The 16-year-old has joined the club from Championship outfit Cardiff.
The Athletic report that the striker completed a medical over the weekend.
He has competed for Wales at the Under 17 international level.
Initially, he will sign a scholar contract and then a long-term professional deal when he turns 17 in September.
While the deal did not need to be completed before tomorrow's deadline, Biancheri has been on the radar of a number of clubs including Chelsea, hence United's eagerness to complete a deal.

Biancheri also qualifies to play for England and Italy on the international stage.
A move to United could shed more light on him and pique the interest of the two countries respective talent scouts to try and pry him away from the Dragons.
He starred when playing for the Cardiff U21 side against Wolves in December, having scored 17 goals and five assists in all 11 games across the months prior.
