Man Utd boss Solskjaer in ‘no doubt’ Paul Pogba will stay at the club this summer – The Sun

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER insists he has "no doubt" Paul Pogba will remain at Man United this season.

And the Red Devils boss expects his £89million man to be available to start against Chelsea next week.

World Cup winner Pogba dropped out of United's squad to travel to Cardiff on Saturday for their pre-season friendly with AC Milan.

The Frenchman is believed to have been making another effort to secure a last-gasp move to Real Madrid.

Pogba pulled out of the game with a back spasm and Solskjaer denied suggestions that the player had refused to travel to Cardiff.

Solskjaer said: “I have no doubts at all that Paul still wants to play for Manchester United.

REAL REASON

“He isn’t injured, he’s just in some pain and I wasn’t going to risk anything this weekend with only eight days to go before the first game.

“I knew he wouldn’t be travelling to Cardiff because I spoke to him about it after training on Friday and he wasn’t right.

“He’ll probably be back in training early next week and I hope he should be OK for Chelsea.”

Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, last month said he was in the process of arranging a transfer away from Old Trafford.

Raiola told The Times: "Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are."

Solskjaer's side host Frank Lampard's Blues at Old Trafford next Sunday for their opening game of the Premier League season.

United, meanwhile, came from two goals down to win in Wales and maintain their 100 percent record in pre-season.

Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard struck second-half goals while new signing Dan James hit the crucial spot-kick in the shootout.
