Luis Figo has settled the Cristiano Ronaldo vs Brazilian Ronaldo debate by declaring who is the better finisher

Having played with both of the stars, Figo is better placed than most to make the call.

Figo played with his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal and praised the star for his ability to score with his head.

But having played with Brazilian Ronaldo for Real Madrid, Figo believes he has the edge.

Speaking to DAZN, Figo deliberated over his rating, he said: "It depends, Cristiano is capable of scoring a lot of goals with his head, but the two strikers are very impressive.

"While Cristiano is still playing, I'll say Ronaldo was the best in front of goal.

"But the two of them guarantee you lots of goals in any team. All you have to do is pass them the ball and they do the rest."

Figo, 45, called time on his illustrious career having won awards including the Ballon d'Or and the Fifa World Player of the Year.

He was hailed as one of the greatest players of his generation, but he also had the luxury of playing with World Class stars for both club and country.

Figo was the most capped Portuguese player, before he was eventually trumped by Ronaldo.

Despite not winning the battle, in Figo's eyes, Ronaldo has become a history maker in his own right.

He recently become the first player ever to score 400 goals in Europe's top five leagues.

The Portuguese superstar scored 84 goals in the Premier League for Manchester United, 311 in La Liga for Real Madrid and seven thus far in Serie A for Juventus.
