LeSean McCoy ruled out for Buffalo Bills after suffering head injury

An already shifting Buffalo Bills offense had to deal with another significant change on Sunday.

Running back LeSean McCoy was ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Indianapolis Colts after suffering a head injury.

McCoy went to the locker room after a first-quarter run.

The Bills already were without starting quarterback Josh Allen, who was ruled out with an elbow injury. Recently signed veteran Derek Anderson stepped in to start for him.

McCoy, 30, had been the subject of trade speculation ahead of the Oct. 30 deadline.

“Just to get out in front of this LeSean thing a little bit here as best I can, LeSean is one of our better players,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said earlier in October. “We get calls all the time, incoming calls happen all the time, Brandon and I talk a lot and I won't go into any more detail than that.”
