The Serbian side caused a Champions League shock as they triumphed 2-0 over last season’s finalists yesterday.
But to add insult to injury for Liverpool, a number of their supporters noticed their Serbian winger liking a tweet with his country's flags and a love heart after the clash.
And they were furious with the £20million man.
One tweeted: “Just leave Lazar it’s for the best.”
Another added: “How is Markovic that t**t liking this?
“I honestly hope this guy is released by us in January because he simply doesn't deserve to be here anymore.”
A fellow Liverpool fan said: “I don't know why Markovic, a former Partizan player is celebrating Red Star Belgrade (Partizan's biggest rivals) beating a club he's currently at. Can't wait for the day he leaves.”

While another commented: “State of Markovic. Still contracted under Liverpool.”
Markovic, 24, moved to Anfield from Benfica in 2014 but has failed to make the breakthrough on Merseyside.

Liverpool now need to pick up results in their final two Champions League group stage clashes against Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli after last night’s loss to ensure qualification.
