Juventus are PAYING to push through Paulo Dybala’s Spurs transfer but image rights proving a sticking point – The Sun

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR are being leant a helping hand by Juventus to help complete the signing of Paulo Dybala, according to reports.

The Argentine striker's personal terms are said to be agreed and the clubs are happy to strike the deal, but there remains one hold-up.

With his image rights owned by a company in Malta there is a deadline day hitch in negotiations.

Star Image Company are said to want a multi-million pound fee to sell the rights to Spurs.

That is in addition to the £65million transfer fee and bumper wage on offer.

And, on Thursday morning, Evening Standard suggested Juve are willing to pay a lump sum to help get the deal over the line.

Some outlets still believe Dybala's wage to be the issue with Manchester United rejecting the chance to sign him because of his £350,000-a-week demands.

Calciomercato claimed on deadline day that the player had, in fact, turned down Spurs on the same basis.

A £13.8m signing on fee has been mooted but Tottenham are apparently only willing to pay £2.75m.

One man definitely not signing for the club on deadline day is Bruno Fernandes, according to BBC journalist David Ornstein.

The same report adds yet another potential outcome to the mix – suggesting the Dybala move has fallen down due to Juventus pulling out.

Sporting Lisbon's price tag on attacking midfielder Fernandes was deemed to be too high for a club already blessed with Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and more in that position.

English clubs have until 5pm to complete deals, with European sides able to make use of the rest of the month.
