JOSH WARRINGTON’S broken jaw has forced him onto a liquid diet and robbed him of his weekly fry-up.
The Leeds warrior, 31, really wanted to celebrate beating Kiko Martinez to regain his IBF featherweight title with cheese burgers, bread-and-butter pudding and a night of romance with wife Natasha.
But – before the bloodied Spanish veteran was rescued by the referee in the seventh round – the 36-year-old left the brave Brit with a broken jaw.
After undergoing surgery at Leeds General Infirmary on the cracked right side of his face, the two-time champ posed with his far-less thrilling breakfast.
On Instagram, Warrington said: “Because of the old jaw – which is looking quite a size now – I am on a liquid diet for this week and next.
“No more of my usual Monday fry-ups.

“Instead it’s porridge in a cup, all liquid and watered down. The price you pay for being a champion.
“Only a jaw though, it wasn’t going to stop me winning.
“My operation was a success and I’m overwhelmed with the support. You really are the best fans in the world.”
Warrington has ordered promoter Eddie Hearn to finally make him a Las Vegas fight for his legion of Leeds United to fans to follow him out to – and emulate Ricky Hatton’s most iconic US trips.

And he has a domestic clash with Nottingham’s Leigh Wood – at the slightly less glamorous City Ground – as a tempting back-up.
The Matchroom boss explained: “It’s going to take a lot to deter Josh from the American fight.
“You have to ask how many he has left. It’s probably only a few fights now, so if you don’t take it now then you may never get it.
“I think he would take 20,000 fans to the City Ground and Leigh Wood would do that too. They would both fill it.
“Really it is Leo Santa Cruz or Emanuel Navarrete in las Vegas – they’re the two unifications – but, at the same time, Leigh Wood is there at the City Ground.
“I think if you ask Josh he would take the American option. But Wood is a big-money fight and a really good fight.”
