Jose Mourinho escapes touchline ban after FA fail to prove charge the Manchester United boss used foul language during epic rant

The Special One allegedly shouted "sons of b****es" into the camera after the win over Newcastle earlier this month.

The ramblings boiled down to hitting back at critics with his job very much on the line early this season.

But now, an FA statement has now claimed an independent panel have ruled against punishing Mourinho, but the decision is open to appeal.

An FA statement read: "A charge against Jose Mourinho for allegedly using language which was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper has been found not proven following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today.

"It related to an incident at the end of the Manchester United versus Newcastle United game on 6 October 2018.

"Written reasons for the decision of the Independent Regulatory Commission will be published in due course. This decision is subject to appeal."

After the Newcastle game, eagle-eyed viewers claim he shouted "fodas filhos de puta", which translates as "f*** off sons of b*****s" in his native tongue.

Mourinho also caught the eye by showing off his little finger gesture – one of a series of similar gestures this season.

The United boss risked another FA rap for that stunt — amid claims he was mocking a critic over their small manhood.
