John Cena attacked by WWE superstar over his new finishing move

John Cena’s new finishing move has been brutally put down by WWE superstar Samoa Joe.

One of Smackdown Live’s key protagonists, Joe was last week defeated by AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at the Super Show-Down pay-per-view in Melbounre.

But Joe has wasted no time in setting his sights on a next big-name rival as he tore into 16-time world champion Cena.

Cena has spent a long time away from regular WWE activity due to his Hollywood film work.

He did return Down Under to defeat Elias and Kevin Owens in a tag team match last week.

But Samoa Joe was not impressed by Cena showcasing his new finisher ‘the Sixth Move of Doom’, inspired by his time working in Shanghai on an action movie with Jackie Chan.

"The sixth move of doom? Yeah. So John Cena went to China, took some lessons, an all of a sudden, now he’s got a bad palm strike." said the Smackdown Live superstar, speaking to Fightful .

"Listen, I mean, listen. I’ve been traveling the world for years and I’ve been beating up people with martial arts techniques from far superior styles and techniques. So, I ain’t worried about that.

"You can come throw that back just all you want, and when you catch a foot in your face, you tell me how effective it is."

Cena’s long-term WWE future has been in doubt due to his phenomenal success on the silver screen.

He is scheduled to take part in the upcoming WWE World Cup at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia next month.

And if Joe’s words are anything to go by, he might want to watch out…
