Jody Morris admits he loves Arsenal kit advert… even though it’s ‘killing’ the incoming Chelsea coach

CHELSEA favourite Jody Morris enjoyed Arsenal's leaked kit advert ahead of the new season – admitting it "kills him" to praise the Gunners' smart effort.

The London rivalry between the two clubs remains strong despite their faltering title challenges of late, 40-year-old Morris having come through the Blues academy.

A clip which features Ian Wright describing North London as theirs along with Arsenal stars speaking with local accents has earned many plaudits.

Morris tweeted on Friday: "Kills me to say it but that Arsenal advert is very good.

"Great job from Ian Wright as per."

Idris Elba also popped up in the new kit advert that is yet to be officially released by the club.

Other fans had their say on it following Morris' tweet.

Former rugby star Ugo Monye added: "Unreal mate. Not many shirts evoke as many good memories as the new/old Arsenal jersey."

One Twitter user, Paul, sniped: "Shame the team doesn’t do it justice"

However the majority of Morris' followers were keen to hear news on Chelsea, who have an announcement of their own in the works.

Mah tweeted: "Announce Frank & Jody!!!!!"

Another fan account posted: "Every Chelsea fan is monitoring your tweets right now, ready, waiting, for THAT announcement."

Frank Lampard is expected to swap Derby for Chelsea in the coming days and many expect his Derby County assistant Morris to follow him south.
