Jerome Boateng to snub Man Utd transfer interest for Juventus and PSG talks

JEROME BOATENG will speak to Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus instead of heading back to the Premier League.

Boateng, previously on Manchester United’s radar, has been told he can leave Bayern Munich after eight years at the Allianz Arena.

PSG and Juventus have shown interest in taking him in a cut-price £15million deal as Boateng has one year left on his contract.

And the ex-Manchester City centre-back is prepared to run down his deal if Bayern price him out of a deal to one of their Champions League rivals.

He would ideally want to be at a new club before the start of pre-season to focus on a new campaign away from the Bundesliga champions.

UNITED SNUB

Bayern president Uli Hoeness has urged Boateng to leave the club and look for a new challenge after finding his first-team opportunities limited.

United looked at him during Jose Mourinho’s reign at Old Trafford but his injury record and age meant the club had reservations about a deal.

Chelsea have also monitored him previously before moving onto other targets — but a return to England now looks unlikely with PSG and Juventus leading the chase for Boateng.

Boateng started his career at Hertha Berlin before moving to Hamurg and then Manchester City.

He played 10 Premier League games in 2010-11 before moving to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2011.
