How WWE legend The Undertaker is battling a secret injury

The Undertaker has been battling a secret knee injury for "several months", it has emerged.

The legendary WWE wrestler has returned to screens as he feuds with Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Many fans believed he would retire following his WrestleMania 33 defeat by Roman Reigns.

But retirement talk was spectacularly squashed when he made a comeback a year later to make light work of John Cena in New Orleans.

The Deadman followed that up with a win over Rusev at The Greatest Royal Rumble in April.

However, he was controversially beaten by Triple H in his last match at WWE Super Show-Down in Melbourne earlier this month and will now challenge The Game and The Heartbreak Kid alongside Kane in a tag team match at WWE Crown Jewel next week.

Taker’s comeback has not been without hard work behind the scenes, though.

The 53-year-old, real name Mark Calaway, has been battling a secret knee problem for months.

In a rare picture sighting of the Phenom outside the squared circle, a specialist gym NeuFit posted an image showing The Undertaker undergoing extensive treatment on his knees.

In a detailed post, they wrote on Instagram : Regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, Mark Calaway, better known by the ring name, The Undertaker, is an American professional wrestler.

“Our general manager, @rich_dougherty has been working with him for several months, once a week, to help him get out of pain, especially around the knees.

“Let us just say that this man DOES NOT usually allow pics of any kind but he is so thrilled with his results that he happily posed for us.

“And YES, this is his happy face, y’all! Also, Rich might have had to endure a choke slam to get this pic, but he did it!”

WWE fans will be hoping the treatment prolongs his stay at the top with the hope he will stay for more fights before his eventual retirement.
