Harry Winks completes comeback with dramatic last-gasp winner for Spurs after Fernando Llorente own goal

Mauricio Pochettino could not have complained about only getting a point at Fulham with their title hopes now a distant memory.

There was a major blow towards the end when Dele Alli was substituted after injuring his left hamstring.

There will be more nail-biting at Tottenham with Harry Kane out for a couple of months while the club also missed Moussa Sissoko and Heung-Mon Son is away on international duty.

Yet in the third minute of injury time, sub Georges-Kevin Nkoudou crossed for Winks to score. It was a massive blow for boss Claudio Ranieri and he should his head in disbelief.

Alli had scored Spurs’ equaliser after an own goal from Fernando Llorente put Fulham ahead.

Fulham, with Calum Chambers impressing in midfield, were outstanding in the first half and although ran out of fizz in the second, deserved the point.

The home crowd took a sharp intake of breath as they prepared to celebrate a 12th minute opener from Ryan Babel on his debut.

Babel had too much power for Davison Sanchez and after holding off the visiting defender, steered a left-footed shot towards the corner but it was a good height for Lloris who was able to push the shot away.

Denis Odoi wasted a good chance with a terrible finish and there were a few other nervous moments before Fulham took their deserved level albeit with the help of Llorente.

Jean Michael Sari’s corner was put into a perfect position but Llorente – seemed surprised that the ball fell to him and he stuck out a leg to divert the ball past a stranded and puzzled-looking Lloris.

A bit like Laurent Koscielny, Llorente used his shoulder in an attempt to score although the effort was straight at Sergio Rico although he was also being fouled by Tim Ream.

Yet Fulham were good value for their lead and Babel found some room to meet Cyrius Christie’s cross but headed over.

Yet with Spurs rocking at the back, Fulham thought they had scored a second.

Lloris delivered a decent save from Andre Schurrle and although Aleksandar Mitrovic put the ball in the net he had been in an offside position when his team-mate delivered the first shot.

Spurs then took six minutes into the second half to level courtesy of a poor mistake by home defender Ream.

He completely missed the ball in an attempted cross allowing Christian Eriksen’s to cross and Alli got between Odoi and Christie to scoie.

Maxime Le Marchand produced a brilliant block to deny Eriksen, Danny Rose’s right-footed effort deflected off Odoi and onto the bar.

Tempers boiled over between Mitrovic and Sanchez with some handbags stuff and other players became involved.

Both were booked but this was harsh on the Spurs defender as all Sanchez did was being thrown to the ground in a headlock by the Fulham striker.

Ref Craig Pawson was not having a good game and he also punished Danny Rose for diving when he was clearly pushed by Christie.

With right minutes left, Llorente wasted the chance of becoming the hero by missing the target with a header.

Unsurprisingly, looked annoyed with himself after failing to connect properly to Rose’s free-kick.

Alli’s injury was a blow for Spurs before they nicked it at the end thanks to a header from Winks, who got ahead of Joe Bryan.
