Guinness Six Nations 2019: Maro Itoje ruled out of France and Wales clashes as England hopeful he could feature at the end of the Championship

But the Lions star could make a comeback against Italy or Scotland towards the end of the Championship.

As SunSport exclusively revealed, Itoje's Saracens team-mate Nick Isiekwe has been called up as his replacement.

England said: "Maro Itoje is expected to be available towards the end of the tournament."

The Red Rose got together at their Bagshot base this morning after boss Eddie Jones gave them two days off following the famous win in Dublin.

But centre Jonathan Joseph isn't involved after he stepped up his recovery from ankle surgery by playing for Bath in the Premiership Rugby Cup last night.
