Gruden: Khalil Mack ‘didn’t want to play here’

The Raiders’ trade of Khalil Mack to the Bears was one of the more jaw-dropping moves we’ve seen in recent NFL history. Rather than pay the all-pro linebacker, Oakland and Jon Gruden opted to send him to Chicago in exchange for draft picks.

Since the trade, though, Gruden hasn’t exactly looked to turn the page on the controversial trade. He’s still defending the trade and taking shots at Mack in the process.

During an interview for the Raiders’ Monday Night Football opener against the Rams, Gruden said that the Raiders traded Mack because he didn’t want to be in Oakland.
