Free horse racing tips for today: Warwick, Taunton, Newcastle and Chelmsford – The Wizard of Odds' betting preview for Thursday, December 13

That was a personal best on his handicap debut and he looked a few pounds ahead of the assessor so an 8lb walk up the weights looks fair enough.

He had some decent form in Ireland when winning over fences and Richard Johnson catches the eye for a smaller yard that looks to have found a good chance to follow up.

STOWAWAY MAGIC (1.45 Newcastle) will find this a little tougher than the three-horse race he won at Stratford last time out.

But he had 13 lengths in hand despite never hitting top gear and there should be a lot more to come at this early stage of his chasing career.

He has had just two runs since joining the Skeltons and they usually improve horses that join their yard, even if they were with Nicky Henderson before.

JADEERAH (5.45 Chelmsford) comes from John Gosden who is having decent success with his all-weather runners.

This daughter of Frankel has been second on both outings, at Newmarket in November, before a close-up effort at Kempton last time out.

This step up from 7f to a mile looks a wise move and she wouldn’t need to show a lot more to get off the mark.

Stablemates Star Catcher and Stratification look the main dangers but are both entitled to need this on debut.

Wizard's magic tips

EACH-WAY DOUBLE: DELFACE (1.35 Taunton) has had a breathing operation and is back over his best distance off a very winnable mark.

Pair him with TIGERALLEY (2.20 Newcastle) who hasn’t been asked too many questions at novice level and starts off handicapping from a potentially lenient mark.

TOP TEAM: Gavin Sheehan has ridden eight winners from his past 14 mounts for Olly Murphy. They team up with BON CALVADOS (3.25 Newcastle).

LUXFORD (8.15 Chelmsford) finished like a train when second in a similar contest to this at Kempton last time out.

The handicapper has left her mark alone and it’s 6lb lower than when scoring over course and distance this time last year.

This step up in trip looks a wise move and she’ll be hard to keep off the podium at least again.
