Floyd Mayweather embraces Manny Pacquiao amid rumours of a rematch

Following Pac-Man's comfortable points victory against Adrien Broner at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the Filipino boxer called out the retired star.

Back in 2015, Mayweather secured a comfortable points victory against Pacquiao in what many felt a let-down after so much promise.

Speaking in the ring after his 61st professional victory, Pacquiao said: “Tell him to come back in the ring and we will fight. I’m willing to fight Mayweather again.

"I felt so happy. I did my best in training and in the fight, I thank god for this.

“I’m so happy because god gave me this good health, at the age of 40 I can still give my best.

“I don’t believe my career is over, in my last fight I proved it and tonight I proved it again – Manny Pacquiao’s journey is still continuing."

Before the 40-year-old came out for his big night under the Vegas lights – which earlier saw Badou Jack receive the '"worst cut ever in boxing" –  he was met backstage by old foe Mayweather.

The two boxing legends embraced, showing that despite their past, the respect is very much there.

And Mayweather, who retired from the sport undefeated, will have been impressed with the manner of Pacquiao's unanimous win against Broner.

He will have been less-than impressed however, with the way Broner conducted himself in the post-fight interviews.

The defeated boxer said to the in-ring TV crew: "Bring your mother f****** ass over here, I got a lot to say."

The crowd were booing as Broner was speaking – clearly in disagreement with how he saw the fight going.

He added: "I beat him.  Everybody out there knows I beat him.  I controlled the fight, he was missing.  I hit him clean more times. I beat him.

“Let me let all you know, I want to thank the whole hood who came out here.  You know I beat that boy.

"They are trying to get that money with Pacquiao and Floyd.

“I beat him.  Smart boxing.”
