Fantasy football owners stunned as unpredictability reigns in Week 13

The most important decisions fantasy football owners had to make all year were the ones determining their lineups in Week 13 — the final week of the regular season.

Unfortunately, the fantasy football gods decided to turn logic and just about everything else completely upside down as star players failed to deliver when it mattered most and virtual unknowns vultured touchdown after touchdown.

Let us count the ways …

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson carried the ball 20 times for only 69 yards. Unfortunately, he was mysteriously absent in the red zone as the Cardinals got touchdown runs of 6 and 8 yards from backup Chase Edmonds.

The rookie running back touched the ball just seven times, but he totaled 66 yards and his first two NFL touchdowns.

Edmonds wasn't the only player to visit the end zone for the first time in his career.

— Detroit Lions offensive tackle Taylor Decker caught an 11-yard TD pass.

— Chicago Bears defensive lineman Akiem Hicks, weighing in at 332 pounds, dove across the goal line and rekindled memories of "The Fridge."
