Everton fans want under-pressure boss Marco Silva sacked if they beat Man City on Wednesday night

Toffees fans are hoping to do whatever they can to stop rivals Liverpool win the Premier League – the the Reds three points clear of City.

Silva is desperately clinging to his job after a string of poor results and now faces the champions and old club Watford in the next four days.

But before his Hornets reunion, Everton fans are hoping to drop three more points – despite languishing in ninth in the league – against Pep Guardiola and Co.

One Twitter user wrote: "Sack Silva if we beat Man City on Wednesday."

Another added: "Imagine Marco Silva wins tomorrow vs City, the Blues will be calling for his head."

A third said: "Marco Silva has been losing left right and centre.

"Swear I'm going to kill him if he chooses to turn it on against City this week."

One even ranted: "If Everton beat Man City, sack Marco Silva… If Chelsea beat Man City, sack Sarri…

"Just make it sure of saving humanity and make sure [Liverpool] don’t get anywhere close to the Premier League trophy."

Meanwhile, the odds on Silva being the next Premier League boss to be axed have been slashed from 8/1 to just 9/4.

Leicester boss Claude Puel narrowly leads the market at 11/10, but the Everton chief sits in second.

The Goodison Park club have lost three of their last four games, including the 3-2 FA Cup defeat at Millwall.

Everton's only win came in the 1-0 victory over bottom-placed Huddersfield at the end of last month.
