Eden Hazard injury: Chelsea star hopes to deliver good news to Antonio Conte after laughing and joking around despite being injured

EDEN HAZARD hopes to deliver good news to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte over his injury fear.

The Blues’ man-of-the-moment was forced to come off during Belgium’s 8-1 World Cup qualifying win over Estonia on Sunday night.

It prompted concerns that Chelsea’s impressive run of five successive Premier League wins could be derailed with their star player crocked.

Hazard took a knock on his calf after scoring in the one-sided match in Brussels.

But a Belgian source said: “Eden was spotted after the game smiling and joking around. He was taking loads of selfies with his mates and guests and didn’t seem at all concerned about his injury.

“If it was bad then we don’t think he would be so happy. He’d be off having treatment at the very least.”

Hazard has scored eight goals in his last eight games and has been a central figure in Chelsea’s rapid rise up the Premier League table to second place in recent weeks.

He is expected to report back to his club tomorrow where he will be assessed alongside Spanish team-mate Diego Costa who has a groin problem.

Hazard should be fit for Saturday’s trip to Middlesbrough but the jury is still out on striker Costa after he was sent home from Spain after pulling up lame in training.

He arrived for international duty carrying a knock from the previous weekend’s 5-0 win over Everton.
