Cristiano Ronaldo denies rumours he is set to marry Georgina Rodriguez after being spotted at church

The pair were spotted at the Church of Gran Madre di Dio in Turin in November – sparking rumours they were set to tie the knot.

And last month SunSport reported the Juventus ace proposed after he and Rodriguez boasted new lavish rings during an evening in London.

But the footballing superstar has denied he is planning to marry his model girlfriend, saying it's "not in his plans".

Portugal captain Ronaldo, who was raised a Catholic, is a dad to Cristiano Jr, eight, 17-month-old twins Eva and Mateo, and one-year-old Alana, who he had with Georgina last November.

And he strongly rejected reports of wedding bells – claiming he is simply a religious person.

Speaking to Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport:  he said: "I go to church every week. Every week. I am Catholic and I go to thank God for everything he gives me.

"I don't ask for anything, thanks to God I have everything, I simply thank Him for protecting my family and friends.

"I change church every week because in Turin there are a lot and you have to  choose. A photographer saw me and thought that I was going to get married.

"In the future I don't know if it will happen, but it is not in my plans now."

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward has been going out with model Rodriguez since 2016 after they apparently met in the VIP section of a Dolce & Gabbana event in Madrid.

Rodriguez gave birth to Ronaldo's fourth child, Alana Martina, in November 2017.
