The fantastic news comes just as McGregor officially begins his training camp for his upcoming trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier is official under way.

And that means he may not get to spend too long with his new son as he gets down to business.

He meets his old featherweight rival for a third time on July 10 in the main event of UFC 264 in Las Vegas.

McGregor, 32, has been preparing for the rubber match in Dubai – where he's been keeping in shape with a series of gruelling workouts.

But camp has now officially started following the arrival of his coaches John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy.

SBG Ireland chief Kavanagh, McGregor's head coach, shared a snap of himself and Roddy jetting off to Dubai to his Instagram story on Sunday afternoon.

He wrote: "Stick the kettle on Big C, we're on the way."

McGregor has been making sure to get in plenty of training sessions ahead of his latest fight camp.

The UFC's first simultaneous two-weight world champion has been getting some work in with Cage Warriors lightweight John Mitchell.

McGregor suffered a brutal second-round KO defeat to Poirier in their January rematch at UFC 257.

A fire was lit under the Irishman following the first stoppage loss of his career, so much so his family won't be present for his latest training camp.

He recently said of son Conor Jr: “I’ve been training my son since day 1. He will be ready if he decides to.

“I am going to do this fight away from the family also. For a change. Fights and boppies and cuddles is a hard one to balance. I’m going into this one a wild dog.”
