Fan favourite Chip the Buffalo had to be carted off the field in front of thousands on Saturday after his painful and embarrassing gaffe.
The epic incident came while the icon was entertaining the crowd during the Colorado’s game against New Hampshire.
But as mascot took aim to fire out shirts into the stands he forgot to check one vital thing… which way the gun was pointing!
Unfortunately for the Buffalo, and the man in the suit, his aim was unintentionally spot on with the barrel pointing right at his privates.
He quickly slumped to the floor clutching his privates as a bemused crowd watched on.
And the force of the shot was so strong it actually forced him out of action – with a medic cart needed to take him into the back.
But things got even worse for Chip as amused spectators pulled out their phones to record the stunning scenes.

And the clips quickly went viral – making Chip’s balls-up a social media sensation and thousands shared the hilarious accident.
Luckily Chip the Buffalo appears to be over the worst of it as he took to Twitter to ease fears over his health.
He wrote: “I’m good guys! Thanks for the love.”
