Christian Pulisic opens door to Liverpool move

Christian Pulisic admits the Premier League is a “dream” destination.

Liverpool in particular have been long-term admirers of attacking midfielder Pulisic who joined Borussia Dortmund in 2015 when current Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp was in charge of the Bundesliga outfit.

Pulisic, 20, will be part of the USA team England will face on Wednesday night at Wembley giving him an ideal opportunity to impress his suitors.

Liverpool had an £11m bid for Pulisic rejected in the summer of 2016 and he remains on their transfer wish list.

Tottenham also enquired about Pulisic a year later while Chelsea have also been linked with the poster boy of American football.

Pulisic said: “England, the premier league, is a league where lots of kids dream of playing so there is no reason why maybe one day I won’t play here.”

On Liverpool’s long-running interest, Pulisic whose current deal expires in 2020, said: “As you can see, we are having a great year at [German league leaders] Dortmund and I am enjoying every moment of that.

“Then when the time comes for me to talk in the breaks about my future, then that’s when those things happen.

“Like I said before, reading these articles [about me], I tend to stay away from that stuff. I know it is going to be there but it is not my priority.”
