Chelsea and Arsenal transfer blow as Nicolas Pepe's agent hints at £69m switch to Bayern Munich

NICOLAS PEPE’S agent has hinted that his client could join Bayern Munich over Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Premier League duo are in the running for Lille’s £69million-rated winger who has scored 19 goals and assisted a further 11 in Ligue 1 this season.

Chelsea are believed to be lining up Pepe, 23, as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Eden Hazard.

While Arsenal are understood to be huge fans of the talented Ivory Coast international.

Liverpool have also been linked as they look to add depth to their front line next season.

But it seems Bayern Munich are in pole position to secure Pepe’s coveted signature.

The Germans are set to part ways with Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben this summer.

Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi has been tipped to take over from Ribery on the left wing.

While left-footer Pepe would be a like-for-like Robben replacement.

Pepe’s agent insists his client is yet to make a decision on his future.

But Samit Khiat only named Bayern while discussing possible destinations.

He told RTL: “We are in discussions with clubs. No decision has been taken.

“Today, there are no favourites, be it Bayern Munich or another club.

“Nicolas will not go just anywhere. We have not decided on which league.”
