Celtic win race to sign George Weah's son Timothy on loan from PSG

The 18-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Paris Saint-Germain since coming through the ranks at the French giants into the senior squad.

Now, after failing to appear in Ligue 1 since August, the child of the 1995 Ballon d’Or winner could get the opportunity to show off his talents in Scotland.

That’s according to the RMC Sport, who claim the Bhoys have won the race to sign him on loan until the end of the season.

Brendan Rodgers is desperate to bring in at least one new striker to replace the void left by Moussa Dembele in August.

And the Celtic boss could even look to add two men to his attack after Leigh Griffiths was granted indefinite leave for off-field issues.

Weah, who was born in New York and already has eight caps for USA, has confirmed via Instagram he plans to depart next month.

But the Hoops faced plenty of competition to land the youngster with Amiens, Strasbourg, Rennes, Cannes, Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart have all been linked with an interest in the teen hotshot.

And he will also have former team-mate Odsonne Edouard, a £9m signing from PSG, to help him settle in Scotland.
