Boxing star Conor Benn launches urgent appeal after having luxury Range Rover stolen

Rising British boxing star Benn has been left gutted after his £50,000 motor was nicked by thieves earlier this week.

Benn, 22, bought the top of the range car as a reward for his unbeaten nine-fight start to his professional career.

But the fighter, son of former world middleweight champion Nigel Benn, is now scratching around for information about the whereabouts of the black vehicle.

Benn posted a picture of the motor on his Instagram page with the message: "My car gas been stolen. If anyone sees or hears anything please DM me."

No other information has yet been given by the fighter, who lives and trains in Brentwood, Essex.

But the ring star has become the second high-profile sports person to fall victim of car thieves just this month.

At the beginning of October, England cricket hero Monty Panesar was left distraught when his own Audi Q5 was targeted.

Panesar's customised motor was pinched in North London, and the ex-Test star also took to social media in a desperate attempt to recover it.

He wrote: "My car was stolen in London at 10pm on Sunday.

"It is a white Audi Q5 reg number FG62 YZZ. If you have any information please contact me or Police."

Benn is currently recovering following surgery on a tendon injury suffered in his hand during his last fight in September, when he beat Cedrick Peyanud on points.

He is hoping to make the step up to world level next year as he bids to follow in the footsteps of his illustrious dad.
