Boxing dopers could help Derek Chisora land world title shot if he beats David Price on Saturday – The Sun

BOXING’S dopers could help Derek Chisora land a world title shot if he beats David Price on Saturday.

Andy Ruiz Jr stunned the world thanks to Jarrell Miller’s drugs bust six weeks before he faced Anthony Joshua in June.

And Oleksandr Usyk’s heavyweight debut last week had an opponent change after a failed test for Tyrone Spong.

Chisora’s original opponent Joseph Parker suffered a spider bite, leading to Price’s call-up.

And ahead of the fight at the O2, Del Boy’s manager David Haye said: “The winner could end up with a world title shot soon.

"There are fighters getting popped for performance enhancing drugs left, right and centre and spiders running around biting people.

“If you are in a good run of form and selling plenty of tickets with fans eager to see you, like Derek is, you can get a heavyweight title shot.

“There will be titles becoming vacant and, as long as you are looking good, sanctioning bodies will want the best guys challenging for titles.”

Chisora added: “I am not focused on world titles but I still believe I can be in great fights.

“It is more about just fighting and giving fans what they want.”

Meanwhile, Chisora has revealed his brain and Price's body would have produced an "untouchable" world champion.
